The trailer for one of the most anticipated films of 2022, Jurassic World Dominion, has dropped and it stars new and old faces of the trilogy.

The first look, debuted by Universal Pictures, featured scenes picturing the original cast of Jurassic Park Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern.

The film takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed, with Dinosaurs now living and hunting alongside humans across the globe.

This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.

But the trailer isn’t all dinosaur action as there are some touching reunions as well.

In one scene, Dern returns to her original series role as Ellie Sattler and meets up with Neill’s Alan Grant for the first time in years.

The film’s returning cast also includes BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, Justice Smith as Franklin Webb, Daniella Pineda as Dr. Zia Rodriguez and Omar Sy as Barry Sembenè.

The film features new cast members DeWanda Wise (She’s Gotta Have It), Emmy nominee Mamoudou Athie (Archive 81), Dichen Lachman (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Scott Haze (Minari) and Campbell Scott (The Amazing Spider-Man 2).

The series has hauled in more than $5 billion worldwide since 1993, according to Comscore, and Dominion, set to be released June 9, will mark the sixth and final instalment.

After a tough two years of on-again-off-again filming and a one year delay due to the pandemic, the sci-fi flick directed by Colin Trevorrow is rumoured to be one of the biggest windfalls of 2022 for theatres.
