Stephanie Roche back in Ireland squad for World Cup qualifier

Stephanie Roche has been recalled to the Ireland squad, as Vera Pauw named her 27-player panel for this month’s World Cup qualifier against Georgia.

anchester United’s Diane Caldwell returns to the squad from injury, while there is also a first call-up for Durham goalkeeper Naoisha McAloon.

Wexford Youths’ Aoibheann Clancy and Ellen Molloy both miss out due to their Leaving Certificate exams, as the squad leave for a training camp in Turkey this afternoon.

Pauw’s side will take on the Philippines in a friendly on June 19 before the rearranged World Cup qualifier takes place in Tbilisi on June 27. Ireland hosted Georgia last November, winning 11-0 in Tallaght Stadium.
