Hollywood’s night of nights is finally here – in full force and in person.
After the pandemic reared its ugly head (yet again) and threatened to derail the Academy Awards for the second year in a row, the usual end of February slot was pushed back a month.
But finally, A-listers and nominees are walking the red carpet. Yes, the glory of winning a gong will go down in history but (arguably) just as memorable are the red carpet fashion moments.
This year, Nicole Kidman arrived in style with husband Keith Urban, flying the flag for Australia as she attempts another Oscars win for best actress.
Kidman is up for her turn as Lucille Ball in Being the Ricardos while Kodi Smit-McPhee is just the second Australian vying for an award after he was nominated for his role as best supporting actor in The Power of the Dog.
The lead up to the Oscars also hasn’t been without controversy.
Last month, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that in an effort to shave time from the broadcast, eight below-the-line and short-film awards, including Perth’s very own Oscar-nominated short Please Hold, would be handed out in the hour before the live Oscar telecast begins.
We’ll be bringing readers all the latest news and updates from the red carpet throughout the day, right here.

They are the ‘It’ couple right now.

Former Disney darling Zendaya has turned heads in her two-piece look for this year’s award show.
She is the current ‘it’ girl following the success of her TV series Euphoria.

One of the three hosts for tonight, Amy Schumer wore a plunging navy blue gown with bow detail. The comedian kept it simple with hair and makeup.
Billie Eilish wore a black dress and was giving elegance, and a bit of goth.
The singer is nominated for best original song for her song, No Time to Die, for the final James Bond movie starring actor Daniel Craig.
She will perform the song during the ceremony.
Up for her first Oscar nomination, Kristen Stewart was one of the only females to wear shorts to the award shows — ever.
She’s only just walked the red carpet, so social media reactions haven’t come in yet but so far people are divided on the look. The Twilight star’s fiance, Dylan Meyer, joined her.
I’m sorry, I know I haven’t brought you much of the men’s looks. So let’s rectify that with one of Hollywood’s biggest heartthrobs.
Jake Gyllenhaal looked handsome, as always, in a very clean all black look.
Will Smith has never won an Oscar, despite 30 years in the business.
The 53-year-old has come close twice before, could tonight be his night?
He walked the red carpet with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
Looking pretty in pink, Zoe Kravitz changed up her recent style which has been predominantly black, as she promoted her latest movie The Batman.
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher
It’s been a while since we have seen Kunis and Kutcher on the red carpet and they did not disappoint.
The couple looked every bit the picture-perfect pair.
Mila looked like the belle of the ball in her pink one-shoulder number.
