Odell Beckham Jr. may be putting the phrase, “If you can’t beat them, join them,” on its head.
The Bengals have arisen as a potential landing spot for Beckham after the three-time Pro Bowler recently commented on quarterback Joe Burrow’s Instagram.
Burrow, 25, posted two photos to his Instagram on Monday with the caption, “My spidey sense is starting to tingle a bit,” to which Beckham replied, “The one.”
The 29-year-old wide receiver contributed to the Bengals demise last season, reeling in the first touchdown of Super Bowl 2022 for the Los Angeles Rams before suffering a devastating knee injury in the second quarter of the game.
If Beckham were to wear a Bengals jersey, he would be joining one of the league’s deepest wide receiver rooms that already boasts Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd.
Though it remains to be seen where Beckham will play this season, Los Angeles is still a potential landing spot for the former first-round pick, who played in eight games for the Rams following his release from the Browns in November.
Beckham also made an appearance at the wedding of Rams coach Sean McVay this month, with the latter recently quipping, “[I told Beckham Jr.] ‘You crash the wedding, you re-sign with the Rams then, man.’”
The Rams previously expressed in Beckham’s return, but as general manager Les Snead said in March, “It’s a little more complex with the injury situation.”
