Meghan Markle’s father is attempting yet another reconciliation with his daughter and wants to meet his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, before he dies.
Thomas Markle, 79, appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss his wishes.

“I’m heartbroken. I am very upset,” he said. “This is a cruel thing to do to a grandparent, to deny the right to see a grandchild.”
Markle remarked that in the state of California, he could sue to see them but doesn’t want to do that.
“I’ve done nothing wrong,” he said. “There’s nothing that points to say I’m a bad guy.”
He added: “I’m a really loving father and she knows that, and there’s no excuse for treating me this way – no excuse to treat grandparents that way.”

Markle said he and King Charles are in the same boat when it comes to seeing Archie and Lilibet.
“King Charles has done nothing wrong, too, and he is denied the kids as well as I am,” he said.
Markle recalled how Meghan used to be compared to what she has become.
“I never saw the kind of woman she turned into. I am shocked,” he said. “She is not the person I knew as my daughter.”
He said she was always “very sweet and talented” and “very loving” – but no longer.
Thomas was asked if he thought Prince Harry was to blame, but he replied, “I think she has an influence on Harry more than he does on her.”

That said, he doesn’t believe Harry or Meghan are “open to peaceful solutions” and unless both are onboard, a reconciliation or even a visit with the grandkids is “not going to happen.”

But Markle admits he remains open.
“I am always here for her, I still love her, I’ll love her forever,” he said.
“That will never change but I want her to reach out to me and let me see my grandkids and let me have a little peace.”
Markle added: “People go to prison for five years and they’re forgiven. I didn’t do anything.
“I would always apologize for anything I’ve done wrong. I’m sorry if I have.”
