Just For Laughs Toronto has unveiled its lineup for its long-awaited festival return.
The headliners include Trevor Noah, Pete Davidson, Amy Schumer and John Mulaney, all of whom will be taking part in the city’s biggest comedy event this fall.
Joining them will be Iliza Shlesinger, Issa Rae, Ben Schwartz, Tim Dillon, and Mike Birbiglia, just to name a few more.
Deon Cole makes his JFL Toronto debut, beloved iconic drag YouTuber duo Trixie & Katya will make their mark, as will Maria Bamford, who will undoubtedly get personal with her act, podcast host Marc Maron and Neal Brennan, best known for co-creating and co-writing Chappelle’s Show with Dave Chappelle.
As far as homegrown talent goes, Canadian Comedy Award nominee Ali Hassan will hit the stage, along with Al Val and Allie Pearse. Meanwhile, there’s also a new standup comedy variety show, Got Land?, where First Nation, Inuk and Metis performers entertain and share life stories, all expressing solidarity through humour.
“We are very much looking forward to returning to Toronto to celebrate our 10th festival anniversary this fall, and are excited to be bringing so much premium standup comedy to the city,” Bruce Hills, president of Just For Laughs, said in a statement.
JFL Toronto will run in various venues including the Scotiabank Arena, Meridian Hall and Coca-Cola Coliseum from Sept. 22 to Oct. 1, 2022.
Tickets will be available to the public as of June 17, 2022 at 10 a.m. online at the Just For Laughs Toronto website.
