Fast and Furious star Tyrese Gibson’s mother has died from COVID-19.

The 43-year-old singer-and-actor mourned the loss of his mother Priscilla Murray Gibson, who lost her battle with COVID-19 and pneumonia on Valentine’s Day.

The actor took to Instagram on Monday to announce the tragic news to his followers.

Gibson posted a video of himself tearfully saying his goodbyes as he held onto and rubbed his mother’s hand.

Whilst trying to hold back the tears, he said: “Rest in peace mom. You fought, mom. You fought. Oh my god, I’m so sorry this happened, mom. Jesus.

“I’m gonna hold your hand for the rest of my life, OK? Everywhere I go, I’m gonna hold your hand the way you held my hand when I was a kid.

“Every journey this life takes me to from here on, you’re gonna hold my hand mom, OK?”

He left a heartfelt caption underneath the video thanking everyone who prayed for his mother to make a recovery.

“On behalf of my family and everyone who ever spent any time praying for my mother This is the saddest moment of my life … My sweet Valentine just passed away … May the Lord Jesus Christ and his angels open the doors of heavens and embrace her … We as a family are broken and just can’t believe this,” it read.

Priscilla had fallen into a coma earlier in February after being placed in ICU with COVID and pneumonia.

Friends and fans showed their support by leaving messages of condolences.

Snoop Dogg — who also lost his own mother back in October — commented on the post.

“Stay strong I’ll come c u this week if u like to pray with u and hug u.”

Gibson’s Fast and Furious co-star Dwayne Johnson also commented on his post.

“So so sorry about this brother. She was so proud of all you are and have become. Deepest condolences and love sent your way to you and your family.”
